...especially a queer one.
The GOP has become an absolute burlesque freak show after getting drubbed in the last election.
Former Log Cabin chair Patrick Sammon followed a long procession of GOPers out the door of Log Cabin after clashes with Mitt Romney and other GOP leaders over LGBT rights.
The de-facto leader of the Republican Party is a drug warrior addicted to synthetic heroin who managed to dodge a serious conviction under the laws he advocated for.
The formal leader of the party has been chastened after a clash in public with the defacto leader, and followed it up by uttering the controversial thesis that sexual orientation is, well, an orientation and not a "choice."
One of the biggest advocates of the "choice" idea, GOP VP candidate Sarah Palin, got in her own world of hurt after her daughter broke off a likely shotgun engagement after being naughty and not living up to the "family values" the GOP seeks to impose on society through executive and legislative fiat.
Now doubtlessly, some would argue that an affiliation with the GOP makes sense from a "practical power perspective."
Your friendly blogger would disagree. "Dialogue" is rather impossible with a collapsing political party that believes that synthetic heroin addicts are the root of all evil (unless they happen to be popular conservative talk show hosts), that sexual orientation is a "choice," and that family values that cannot be enforced in the home of one of the most outspoken social conservatives can be imposed through the legislative process.
Our advice to our Republican friends: get out of the Crazy House while you still can.
